Oregon is in the midst of a child care crisis. Every county in the state is a child care desert for infants and toddlers. Center-based care costs more than state college tuition and child care subsidies aren’t adequate to help working families or pay child care providers fair wages. Our lawmakers are currently considering establishing a child care task force to solve this crisis and lowering the co-pays working families pay when they receive a child care subsidies.
